I've been incredibly busy the past two days otherwise I'd have replied sooner!

I had my auctions as 5-day auctions (I just find 7 days to be too long an it seems like buyers lose interest after that long of a period).

I started the auction last weekend, Saturday early afternoon. I already had several watches by the end of the weekend and one bid on one auction, but the bids really went crazy by Wednesday and skyrocketed the few hours before the auctions ended on Thursday afternoon.

By the way, I also posted my own pictures of the actual items for sale in the auctions. I wonder if that helped because people could see exactly what they were bidding on.

I feel a little weird saying what I sold on this board just on the off chance that anyone reading the board bought from me... but let's just say that the retired outfit was one that retired sometime last year and I don't think it was very popular/high in demand (but obviously I was wrong! Also--Ashley/Amanda--I agree with feeling somewhat guilty about sky high prices. I do love that there's been more selling and trading on this board. I also have gotten some fair deals--fair to me and to the seller here--and you know it's going to someone who wants it.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I just love the Winter Magic outfit! thanks for the compliment. I am going to take the avatar down soon and replace it with a more Valentines theme one, but the winter one just seemed so pretty that I left it up extra long. (by the way I didn't sell the Winter Magic outfit... I like it way too much!)

I also agree that the selling/trading on here is nice. I actually had tried to sell the outfits I put up on ebay on this board but after a few days there were no takers on here so I put them on ebay. Like I said, I still feel really weird that they sold for such high prices.

I didn't realize that summer is so much cheaper to buy dolls (etc). I guess with people out of normal "routines" and not buying for Christmas or just after Christmas???

Since I've been watching things in Sept, I would say that good price for a doll is $50 - $60. For me, it's worth it to "save" $15 or $20--that equals an outfit. . . .

For some, they just prefer to buy new, so it really depends.

But getting a doll for $40 or so really is a deal!
